2025 Kia K4 LX vs 2024 Kia Forte LX
How the New Kia K4 Compares to Other Popular Compact Cars
When it comes to new cars, the 2025 Kia K4 is the kind that sets benchmarks and makes waves. It has some best-in-class standard features, a bigger size, and a style all its own. Here’s how it measures up against the Kia Forte, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Nissan Sentra and Hyundai Elantra in 2025.
2025 Kia K4 LX vs 2024 Kia Forte LX
Bigger, Smarter, Safer. Quieter.
The new K4 is bigger in every way than the popular Kia Forte in Phoenix. With 3 more inches of length and 2 more inches of width, it is able to offer more passenger room. The extra 3 cubic feet includes an extra two inches of rear legroom. The K4’s 38 inches is significantly bigger than the previous 35.7 inches in the Kia Forte.
Truly smarter than ever, new standards include a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, push button start, and stop-and-go smart cruise control. There are now two USB ports on the second row for a total of four USB-C ports.
With its new build, the 2025 K4 is even safer than the new Kia Forte in Phoenix AZ. It has two rear side airbags, raising the number from 6 to 8. The collision avoidance system has added cyclist detection and junction turning assistance. New standards include heated outside mirrors, better headlights, an electronic parking brake, and a temporary spare tire instead of a tire inflator kit.
Kia engineers have packed more insulation and anti-vibration measures to improve ride quality. This quieter cabin also has an acoustic windshield. Fuel economy is 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. That’s in line with the outgoing Kia Forte and ensures that the K4 owner will enjoy low operating costs.
These 20-plus new standards allow the K4 to earn its price tag of $21,900. That’s an increase over the 2024 Kia Forte for 2025, but it’s still one of the lowest prices in the small car class.
2025 Kia K4 LX: $21,990, MSRP.
Warranty: 60K/5-year Limited, 100K/10-year Powertrain
2025 Kia K4 vs Toyota Corolla
More Space, More Standards, Better Warranties.
With its new large size, the K4 has more headroom for front and rear passengers than the Toyota Corolla in Phoenix. Even better, it has 3.2 more inches of rear legroom. Offering more room for cargo, the 14.6-cu ft trunk is bigger than the 13.1-cu ft trunk in the Corolla.
Both the Toyota Corolla LE and Kia K4 LX have Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and available satellite radio. However, Corollas have a much smaller 7-inch touchscreen. The K4’s 12.3-inch touchscreen is the biggest in the class.
A blind spot monitoring system with rear cross traffic alert is standard on the K4 LX, but it is an extra feature with the Corolla LE. Then there are the longer warranties that give you more peace of mind when you choose the Kia. You’ll find a full review of the 2025 K4 here.
2024 Toyota Corolla LE: $22,050, MSRP.
Warranty: 36K/3-yr Limited, 60K/5-yr Powertrain
2025 Kia K4 vs 2025 Honda Civic
More Space, Bigger screen, More Standards, Better Warranties, Better Price.
Compared to the redesigned 2025 Honda Civic, the new Kia K4 has a bigger backseat with more legroom, more headroom, and more hip room. Despite being an inch longer, the K4 has a tighter turning circle.
As for standards, the K4 LX has a much bigger touchscreen than the Honda’s 8-inch screen, and it offers satellite radio connectivity, which is not offered on the Honda LX. Additionally, the K4 has a blind spot monitor, a cross-traffic alert, heated side mirrors, and an overhead console storage unit.
2025 Honda Civic LX: $24,250 MSRP
Warranty: 36K/3-yr Limited, 60K/5-yr Powertrain
2025 Kia K4 vs Nissan Sentra
Bigger Cabin, Bigger Touchscreen, More Safety Standards.
The K4 cabin is bigger, providing more passenger volume than the Sentra. 2025 Sentras start out $400 less than the K4 MSRP. However, that lower price doesn’t include many things that are standard on the Kia. In fact, you can purchase the Sentra SV and still not have these important features.
This includes adaptive cruise control, a blind spot monitor, rear traffic alert, electronic parking brake, and heated mirrors. It has 4-wheel disc brakes, rather 2-wheel disc brakes, and LED headlights instead of halogen lights.
Both the K4 LX and Sentra S have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but the K4 is the only one where the systems are wireless. Plus the K4 screen is much bigger than the Sentra’s 7-inch touchscreen. Then there are the remarkably lengthy warranties you find only at a Kia dealer in Phoenix. Check it out at Earnhardt Peoria Kia.
2025 Nissan Sentra S: $21,590 MSRP
Warranty: 36K/3-yr Limited, 60K/5-yr Powertrain
2025 Kia K4 LX vs Hyundai Elantra SE
Sleek Looks, Smart Packaging Set it Apart
The 2025 K4 and Hyundai Elantra are corporate cousins. Standard initial pricing differs by $5. Both have class-leading warranties that go for up to five years for limited and up to ten years for powertrains.
Beyond this, the K4 pulls ahead in many ways. When it comes to good looks, the K4 is setting a benchmark for the whole class. Motor Trend praises the K4 for its edgy styling. Edmunds writes about its distinctive look.
As for standard features, the Hyundai SE has a much smaller touchscreen. It doesn’t have an electronic parking brake, Smart Key, or standard adaptive cruise control.
2025 Hyundai Elantra SE: $21,875 MSRP.
Warranty: 60K/5-year Limited, 100K/10-year Powertrain
Conclusion
With the Kia K4, a consumer gets more standards, a bigger cabin, more technology, and more safety. In many cases, it is less expensive. So however you look at it, with any of its rivals, it’s still the better buy.
