This Connected Car Navigation Cockpit is a fast processing system that benefits from over-the-air updates. Standards include wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. 

With the new Hey Kia system, a K4 driver can use natural voice controls to change the temperature or increase fan speed. They can tell the system which entertainment feature they want, turn up or down the sound, and much more. 

Using AI, the system can answer questions about local points of interest and other matters. The interface understands your navigation requests more easily. The high-speed system ensures faster responses as well as accurate ones. . 

A new digital key 2.0 works with a compatible Samsung or Apple smartphone.  Using ultra wideband, the app becomes a virtual key. This can be shared among family or friends if needed. For the new model year, engineers upgraded ADAS standards for more basic safety.  For better protection they increased the number of airbags. The new rear side airbags are standard on all K4 trim levels.

Audible and visual warnings, such as the forward collision warning, are backed up by steering wheel vibrations. These haptic responses may speed up the driver’s response to the lane departure warning and pedestrian monitor. 

The blind spot monitor warns the driver when it isn’t safe to change lanes, and rear cross traffic function watches for side traffic dangers when the car is in reverse.

In addition to the autobrake for forward collision dangers and pedestrians, there’s an assist for junction turning.  The emergency evasive steering assist tries to stop the car from driving into another car’s path.

Drivers can share responsibility with the car by using Smart Cruise Control with Lane Keeping Assistance. With the blind spot view monitor, a camera system shows what’s close behind the car. With the 360-degree camera system, slow maneuvers are safer.

Even though it is one of the most affordable rides on the market, the new Kia K4 is offering semi-autonomous features. Highway Driving Assist 2 goes beyond cruise control to handle more functions.
