ChargePoint Home Charger
What Is the ChargePoint Home Charger Program?
Kia has partnered with ChargePoint to give EV buyers access to a Level 2 home charging solution at the time of purchase. Through Earnhardt Peoria Kia, you can add the ChargePoint Home Flex charger to your deal when you buy a new Kia electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. Compatible models include the Kia EV6, EV9, and Niro EV.
Best of all, the charger can be bundled into your vehicle financing. Buyers love this options because they can spread the cost over the loan instead of paying it all at once.
Why Charge at Home Instead of a Public Station?
Charging at home means your car is ready every morning. You plug in at night and wake up with a full battery, without making a stop along the way. In fact, there’s evidence to show that overnight, slower charging is best for the battery.
A Level 2 charger is a big upgrade from a standard 110V household outlet. The ChargePoint Home Flex can add up to 37 miles of range per hour.
That means a short overnight charge typically fills most Kia EVs from low to full. Compare that to a standard outlet, which might add 4 to 5 miles per hour and leave you waiting days for a full charge.
The ChargePoint app also lets you schedule charging during off-peak hours, which can lower your electricity bill. You set it once and let it run.

About the ChargePoint Home Flex Charger
The ChargePoint Home Flex is a 240V Level 2 charger built for everyday home use. Here are the basics:
What is Adjustable Amperage?
Adjustable amperage means you can set the charger to match your home's electrical capacity. This is independent of whether you have a 30-amp circuit or a 50-amp circuit available. You’ll match your charging to your EV’s capability. This allows the system to adapt when you change EVs some day.
